To reach Vilanova, you have a choice of 2 airports. The largest is Barcelona, with flights from many UK airports with Easyjet, Iberia, British Airways or Ryanair, and regular flights from all major European destinations. Another option is Reus Airport, with Ryanair from the UK. Both airports are 30 minutes from Vilanova by road and approximately 45 minutes by train. Taxi or car hire is available from both locations. A direct bus service runs from Barcelona Airport to Vilanova train station.

For travel from the UK, if you can plan your trip 6 to 8 weeks ahead, we have found that air tickets can be as low as £68 per person return, including taxes, depending on the route chosen. This makes a visit to Barcelona Tennis Academy very affordable.

Flight bookings where you travel mid-week to mid-week can be even less expensive.

TO VILANOVA FROM BARCELONA AIRPORT :-

BY BUS: The MON BUS bus service runs from the Airport building direct to Vilanova i la Geltru train station. Buses leave from between Terminals A and B every hour (weekdays) at 40 minutes past the hour (and run until 10.40 p.m.) stopping also at Casteldefels and Sitges. On weekends the bus runs every 2 hours. There are timetables (Horaris) on their website at : http://www.monbus.org.

Fare : Approximately 3-50 Euros each way.

Journey time : approximately 45 minutes.

BY ROAD: (and to the Tennis Club)

• Take the C31/C32 motorway from the airport, following signs to Barcelona and then to Casteldefels and Tarragona. After Casteldefels, you will come to a toll on the C32 just before Sitges – 5 Euros approximately.

• After passing the Sitges exit, take the first exit to Vilanova i la Geltru that is also signed to St. Pere de Ribes, but NOT the first exit to St. Pere de Ribes.

• You are now on the C31. Continue to follow signs to Vilanova, but DON’T take the first exit to Vilanova, but keep following for Cubelles. Take the 2nd EXIT to Vilanova (Vilanova Oest).

• Immediately after exiting, turn Left at the T-junction – Vilanova = 1 Km.

• Follow this road for 500 metres and turn Right at the first roundabout (there is a sign to a restaurant : La Cucanya).

• After 400 metres, go straight ahead at the traffic lights and up the hill, entering a short dual carriageway. Then you are back onto a 2-lane road.

• Take the 2nd Left (Avinguda la Torre de las Valles).

• Straight across 2 small cross-roads.

• Turn Right at the third crossroads and go past the aeroplanes on the left (yes, really!).

• Take the 2nd Right (Carrer del Cardinal) and the entrance to the tennis club is 50 yards on your right. You can park in the road or in the club itself.

BY TRAIN: To Barcelona Sant station and then Vilanova, OR from the Airport to El Prat station (one stop) and then to Vilanova, taking 30 - 35 minutes.

TO VILANOVA FROM REUS AIRPORT :-

BY ROAD: By the C-32 motorway

BY TRAIN: Ca3 Reus – Tarragona – Vilanova, or

Ca4 Reus – Valls – Vilanova
